CCTT Secretariat Participates in Round Table Discussion: Transit Potential of the Republic of Belarus in Respect to Russia’s Foreign-Trade Freight Transport 28.11.2013 20:31
The CCTT Secretariat participated in a round table discussion on Transit Potential of the Republic of Belarus in Respect to Russia’s Foreign-Trade Freight Transport, held on 28 November 2013 by Belarusian Railway (BCh) in the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation.
The round table discussion was attended by representatives of BCh and RZD, Russian cargo owners, rail operators and freight forwarders, federal authorities and other parties involved in freight transportation between Russia and Belarus. Participants were updated on the results BCh’s freight transportation in 2013 and key measures to attract cargo flows in 2014, BCh’s tariff policies and marketing strategy for 2014. They were also shown a presentation of transit potential of Belarus in respect to Russia’s foreign-trade freight transport.
Participants discussed the prospects for growing transit traffic via the Belarusian Railway, joint projects and new logistic chains within the Common Economic Space as well as with the participation of EU states.
