On April 15, 2019, as part of the regular 24th exhibition: «The International Conference for Cargo Owners, Logistics and Carriers «TransRussia» with the support of CCTT the Plenary Session: “Development of Cargo Transportation in Russia. Trends, prospects, restrictions. The era of digitalization» (with Gennady Bessonov, Secretary General of CCTT, as a moderator) and Discussion Session: « Multimodal and intermodal container transportation in modern logistics», (with Natalya Stepanova, Deputy Secretary General of CCTT, as a moderator) took place.

D.A. Saliy, Kaliningrad region government representative affiliated to the government of the Russian Federation in Moscow, N.A. Pegin, CEO of «Kamchatka Development Corporation» JSC, V.G. Saraev, Chairman of Board - CEO of PJSC «TransContainer», D.N. Obsharov, CEO of «Atran Airlines» - «Volga-Dnepr» Group of Companies, Farid Madani, CEO of «Business Lines» Group of Companies, and A.G. Kirillova, Head of the Export Logistics Development Project of «Russian Export Center» Company, participated in the Plenary Session.

Within the Plenary session for visitors and participants of the event, speakers touched upon topics related to the development of transport and port infrastructure, existing transit arteries and special economic zones, which form the strategy of transport companies to develop exports. An important topic for discussion was the further consolidation of the market under conditions of digitalization, including prospects for the introduction of a unified digital platform of the transport complex (ECPTK) and the creation of a green digital corridor. At the end of the event, the speakers presented their own vision of the transport and logistics market in the era of digitalization.

The Discussion Session format allowed the participants to familiarize themselves with the presentations of represented companies, as well as to discover the topics related to technological and legislative innovations in the area of freight container traffic and services, offered today for intermodal and multimodal transportation. A significant part of the discussion was devoted to the development of transit and Chinese subsidies for rail transportation.

According to the results of the Plenary and Discussion sessions, participants and attendees received the most relevant information on the widest range of issues, including the current situation of multimodal transit traffic development and the digitization of the international transport market prospects, as well as the plans of the transport industry leaders within above-mentioned conditions.
