The XXVII CCTT Plenary meeting took place on 3-4th October 2018 in Sochi 05.10.2018 16:38

The XXVII Plenary session of the International Association "Coordinating Council on Transsiberian transportation" (CCTT) took place in Sochi on October, 3 – 4, 2018.


The meeting was attended by 170 delegates from 20 countries: heads and Plenipotentiary representatives of Ministry of transport of Russia, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, FAZHT of Russia, FCS of Russia, Railways of CIS, Baltic States, Europe and Asia, sea ports of Germany, Latvia, Norway, Sweden, China, shipping companies, transport and logistics, insurance, security, IT companies, international organizations (WCO, OSJD, CIT, UIC, FERRMED, RSPP), national associations of forwarding agents of Russia, Japan, Europe, etc.


During the meeting, the issues of functioning of the transport corridor "Transsib" were considered, further measures to improve the efficiency of container transport in modern conditions were developed.


During the meeting, a significant increase in the volume of transit container traffic on TSR was noted as a result of joint work of the companies – members of the CCTT to improve the competitiveness of Euro-Asian cargo transportation by expanding the geography of transit services, reducing transit time, simplifying customs procedures and cross-border operations, improving the technology of transportation as part of container trains, the formation of a competitive through tariff rate, the development and implementation of a through schedule of the container train, ensuring the safety of goods, the introduction of electronic document management, etc.


In particular, JSC "Russian Railways" takes a whole range of measures that contribute to the growth of transit traffic on the Trans-Siberian railway: the further development of transport infrastructure, the creation of the Eurasian high-speed railway space, the development of heavy traffic, the preservation of tariff conditions that ensure the competitiveness of the land route, the development of accelerated regular container services, etc.


In 2017, the volume of transportation of large-capacity containers in international traffic on the TRANS-Siberian railway amounted to 770.9 thousand TEU (+49%), including: import – 319.1 thousand TEU; transit – 181.7 thousand TEU; export – 270.1 thousand TEU; for 8 months of 2018 amounted to 590 962 TEU (+22.6%), including: import – 247 584 TEU (+24.9%), transit -128 537 TEU (+13.8%), export -214 841 TEU (+25.7%). The volume of transit container transportation of goods in the East – West – East direction by the end of 2017 also increased by 77% and amounted to 262.4 thousand TEUs, of which in the Europe – Asia – 98.6 TEUs, Asia – Europe – 163.8 thousand TEUs. Transportation of containers through the station Dostyk and Altynkol station at the end of 2017 amounted to 177 568 TEUs, showing a 71% growth, through Zabaikalsk amounted to 50.5 thousand TEU (+ 62%), (including Europe – Asia – 18,8 thousand TEU, Asia – Europe – 31.7 thousand TEU), through the Zamyn-Uud - 34.4 thousand TEU (+ 168 %), (including Europe – Asia 14.4 thousand TEU, Asia – Europe – 20 thousand TEU). According to the results of 8 months of 2018, the total volume of traffic through the border crossings Dostyk, Altynkol, Zabaikalsk and Zamyn-Uud amounted to 209,230 TEU (+35% compared to the same period last year).


The report on the implementation of the decisions of the 26th Plenary meeting of the Council was presented by the CCTT Secretariat. The participants of the meeting were informed about the implementation of the CCTT projects: "Electronic train", "Security train", "Transportation of postal items and goods of electronic trade by rail", "TSR: Multimodal transport network", "Integrated digital platform".
