On April 17, 2018, the Plenary session "Development of cargo transportation in Russia. Trends, prospects, limitations" was held in the framework of the 23rd International conference for cargo owners, logistics and carriers "TransRussia-2018" with the support of CCTT.

The participants in the form of a lively discussion addressed issues related to the points of growth and barriers in the Russian transport industry, the state of the Russian and international markets of transport services, the new prospects of Russia's transit and transport potential, technological and legislative innovations in the sector of road transport of goods, the role of intermodal transport in modern logistics.
The leading Russian transport and logistics companies JSC “OTLK ERA”, PJSC “TransContainer”, JSC “RZD Logistics” announced their new logistics products, touched upon the functioning of the East-West transport corridor, possible ways to preserve the competitiveness and efficiency of the international market participants in the new economic conditions, the readiness of the 1520 transport infrastructure, including the Baltic region, to increase the volume of container traffic from the Asia-Pacific region to Europe.
The representative of the Iranian Railways separately focused on the prospects for the development of ITC North - South.
The participants discussed the prospects of interconnection of Railways, highways and seaports, expansion of routes of international transport corridors and transit systems, opportunities and prospects for the use of electronic equipment in the industry.
