82 Plenary Session of the Inland Transport Committee (ITC) of the Eurasian Economic Commission (UNECE)

The CCTT participated in the 82nd Plenary Session of the Inland Transport Committee (ITC) of the Eurasian Economic Commission (UNECE), which was held on 25-28 February in Geneva, Switzerland.

Based on the recommendations of the Inland Transport Committee (ITC) and on the results of discussions held within the Bureau, this year's policy segment was devoted to the topic "Environmental challenges for sustainable inland transport". The following issues were also discussed within the groups: the role of sustainable inland transport in reducing emissions and adaptation; the role of transport innovations in effectively addressing environmental and climate problems; international cooperation in climate and environmental solutions and the role of the ITC as the United Nations platform for inland transport.

At the end of the meeting, the ITC Declaration "Improving approaches to sustainable inland transport in response to global climate and environmental challenges: a unified call for common actions" was announced.
