CCTT participated in the Virtual meeting of the Friends of the Chair of WP.24 on the COVID-19 impacts on intermodal transport and logistics of the UNECE ITC

CCTT participated in the Virtual meeting of the Friends of the Chair of WP.24 on the COVID-19 impacts on intermodal transport and logistics of the UNECE ITC, which was held on 26 June 2020 via videoconference.
Presentations and reports were made by representatives of ministries of the world in the field of economy, transport and infrastructure. The participants of the meeting discussed lessons learned and measures taken in UNECE countries to limit any negative impact of COVID-19 on intermodal transport and logistics, and considered possible ways to promote intermodal transport and sustainable logistics after the end of the pandemic, especially through measures aimed at restoring national and regional economies.
This meeting was organized to discuss current issues related to the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. At the end of the meeting, the UNECE Secretariat will prepare an official document on the impact of COVID-19 on intermodal transport and logistics and possible recommendations for the future development of this sector for consideration at the 63rd session of the UNECE Working Party on intermodal transport (WP24).
