CCTT Secretariat took part in fourth meeting of the ESCAP Working Group on Dry Ports
The representative of the International Coordination Council on Tran-Eurasian Transportation (CCTT) informed the meeting of the growing demand of economic of traders and other economic operators for digital transformation in transport and logistics industry. At the same time, timely and verified measures to increase the industry's resilience to potential external challenges and implementing demanded services were of key importance in restoring and increasing cargo volumes after crisis phenomena caused by COVID-19. Participants were informed on successful projects by members of the CCTS aimed at developing sustainable transport links between Asia and Europe, including the following: Continuing of successful development of transportation of containerized goods between China and Germany on the Trans-Siberian mainline; Development of Euro-Asian multimodal transport through the logistic centers in Kaliningrag region, Russia and port of Kaliningrad; Use of the Kaliningrad (Russian Federation) - Rostock (Germany) sea line for the transport of goods between Asia and Europe; Bely Rast logistic center in the Moscow region could be one of important elements building sustainable transport links between Asia and Europe.
