CCTT took part in the conference of the China Communication Transport Association "Block train China-Europe - revival of the Silk Road"
On June 4, 2019, the conference "Block train China - Europe - revival of the Silk Road" took place in Munich within the framework of the 17th Transport Logistic 2019 (logistics, telematics and transport exhibition).
Within the framework of the event the issues of transit traffic development were discussed within the framework of the initiative of the Chinese Government: "One belt - one road". To date, about 20 cities in China have launched the shipment of high-speed trains "China Express". An important task remains the issue of promoting this service in the EU market.
CCTT Secretary General Gennady Bessonov took part in the conference on behalf of the CCTT, making a presentation on the topic "The Trans-Siberian Railway in the Euro-Asian International Transportation System". Gennady Bessonov noted that today the whole process of ground delivery of cargo between Europe and Asia is changing qualitatively - now it is not just the transportation of goods in a container, but a complex logistics product, which is implemented according to schedule and on time, and which is fully integrated by forwarding organizations and carriers of the "last mile".
The CCTT is focused on the formation of competitive transport and logistics products in Asia-Europe. Thanks to the measures taken within the framework of CCTT activities, the issues of cargo safety have been resolved at the Trans-Siberian Railway, a simplified procedure for declaration of cargoes in containers has been introduced, modern information technologies have been applied, the geography of transportation has been expanded, and new container services have been launched.
The heads of transport and logistics companies (CCTT members) A.N. Grom, the Chairman of UTLC ERA, Vyacheslav Valentik, Director General of JSC "Russian Railways Logistics", and Hyring Cheng, Deputy Director General of Sinotrans, told about their new container services during the discussion part of the conference.
Taking into account the popularity and status of the Transport Logistic exhibition, which has been held every two years since 1978, the discussion of issues raised before the participants of the conference, ultimately contributes to the development of international transport.
