On 24-25 October 2019, in Paris, France, a joint CCTT/UIC international seminar “Security BIRC” was held at the UIC Central Office in the framework of the CCTT subgroup “Digitalization and cargo security” under the chairmanship of Natalia Stepanova, CCTT Deputy Secretary General, and Marie-Helene Bonneau, Director of the UIC Security Department.
The seminar was attended by representatives of the transport business, manufacturing, security, insurance and IT companies and international organizations. Representatives of STRAZH, CCILP, Starcom Systems GPS, Belneftegaz spoke about the practice of using electronic means of identification.
The participants of the seminar agreed on the importance of conducting tests of electronic identification tools by carrying out transportation of goods in international container trains.
