On November 13 in the press center of the publishing house "Gudok" it was held a round table on the topic: "IT technologies for railway freight transportation".
The event was attended by CCTT members, including heads of specialized divisions of JSC "Russian Railways", representatives of JSC UTLC ERA, JSC STRAZH, representatives of RUT (MIIT).
The participants of the round table discussed issues related to the development of digital technologies for railway and multimodal transportation, creation of a common information space, as well as modern IT developments to optimize the work of operators and logistics companies.
Daniil Oleinik, Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Technologies, presented the JSC "Russian Railways" Digital Transformation Strategy until 2025, its basic documents, content and implementation methodology. Among the projects implemented within the framework of the Strategy, the project for 2020 on creation of an integrated corporate data management system was highlighted.
Roman Permyakov, Deputy Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Automated Control Systems of the Technological Service of JSC "Russian Railways", spoke about the project "Digital Station", which aims to increase the capacity of railway stations by optimizing technological processes and their automation through a number of software products. Currently, the project is being implemented mainly at the marshalling stations of the Russian Railways network.
Pavel Kartopoltsev, a member of the Association of Commercial Seaports' Committee on Technology, Mechanization and Environmental Protection, pointed out the problems of information exchange of data in the organization of multimodal transportation through commercial seaports, noting that the key projects of the Digital Strategy of JSC "Russian Railways" are aimed at their solution.
Other IT developments aimed at improving the quality of the transportation process were also presented at the roundtable.
CCTT has a long-standing partnership with Gudok Publishing House and regularly takes part in events organized under its auspices. Decisions and conclusions made based on the results of the round table will be taken into account in the work of the CCTT Working Group on Information Technologies Development.
