UIC workshop on projects in the Asia-Pacific region
CCTT participated in the UIC seminar on the development of railway infrastructure and transport links in the Asia-Pacific region. The workshop was held in two stages on June 4 and 11 under the chairmanship of UIC Director for institutional relations Vincent Wu via videoconference.
Representatives of national railways, research institutes, construction companies and higher educational institutions of China, Russia, Korea, Kazakhstan and Indonesia showed presentations during the seminar.
In their reports, participants presented current projects for the period from 2019 to 2021 in such areas as strategy and institutional relations, freight transportation, digitalization on transport, high-speed communication, training and seminars on business development, infrastructure and rolling stock.
OJSC RZD presented the project Intertran. JSC NC KTZ provided information on the project of forecasting the operation of railway infrastructure using digital technologies and on the project of "Virtual coupling" - an additional function in the automatic train control system (ATC), which allows you virtually connect two or more trains to increase the capacity of railway lines. Representatives of Korail, RZD-Stroy, NIIAS and VNIIZhT presented plans for conducting relevant seminars and trainings for the period 2020-2021.
CCTT and UIC have a long-standing partnership, established by a Memorandum of cooperation dated March 28, 2012. The document provides the cooperation in the field of transport policy, exchange of scientific, technical and economic information based on modern information technologies, innovative projects and international education.
