XXXV Meeting of the Conference of General Directors of OSJD Railways
The CCTT secretariat participated in the plenary session of the XXXV meeting of the Conference of General Directors of OSJD Railways, which was held on September 16, 2020 via videoconference.
Representatives of OSJD observers, representatives of railways, operators and freight forwarders, and international organizations were invited and participated in the conference. During the meeting, the results of the work for 2019 of the OSJD Commission on Cargo Transportation, the OSJD Commission on Passenger Transportation, the OSJD Commission on Infrastructure and Rolling Stock, the OSJD Standing Working Group on Coding and Computer Science, and the OSJD Standing Working Group on Financial and Settlement Issues were considered. The report on OSJD activities for 2019 was also presented. The OSJD work program for 2021 and subsequent years was approved. At the meeting, it was decided to approve the new Chairman of the OSJD Committee, Mr. Miroslav Antonovich, who will take this post from November 1, 2020.
For reference: The Agreement on cooperation between OSJD and the CCTT was signed on November 2, 2007, in St. Gallen (Switzerland), within the framework of the 16th CCTT Plenary Meeting. In accordance with the Cooperation Agreement between the OSJD and the CCTT, the CCTT Secretariat cooperates with the OSJD Commission on Transport Policy and Development Strategy, the OSJD Commission on Freight Transport, and the PRG on Coding and Informatics. The plans of these commissions provide for the participation of the CCTT experts in the work on the facilitation of border crossing by rail in international freight traffic, on the application and legal significance of EDS in the transport of goods in international traffic, as well as on the following topics: "Organization of transportation of large-capacity containers in Europe - Asia", "Development and implementation of comprehensive measures to improve transportation and the development of OSJD railway transport corridors", "Work on the organization of cargo transportation using the unified CIM/SMGS consignment note", etc.
