CCTT ‘Cold Chain’ Project Expert Meeting
On May 15, a CCTT ‘Cold Chain’ Project Expert Meeting was held at the CCTT Secretariat office in hybrid format.
The event was moderated by Gennady Bessonov, CCTT Secretary General, and Mikhail Sinev, President, Association of Food Sector Organizations (ASORPS), Manager, CCTT ‘Cold Chain’ Project.
Mr. Shankar Shinde, I.P. Chairman, Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations of India (FFFAI), CCTT Vice-Chairman, addressed the meeting with a welcoming speech.
The event was attended by representatives of transport and logistics companies, manufacturers and operators of refrigerated containers and wagons, market, thermally sensitive food and continuous refrigeration chain experts. In total, more than 60 participants from Russia, Belarus, Germany, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, India, Iran.
During the meeting, experts discussed key trends in the development of the thermally sensitive food market, logistics solutions for the transportation of thermally sensitive goods. Prospects for the development of multimodal transportation in connection with India and multimodal services in connection with China were identified as topical issues.
During the meeting, actions and proposals were elaborated to provide for monitoring the continuous cold chain in current environment.
The participants of the event noted the importance of developing international cooperation and business partnership in order to improve the quality and efficiency of transportation of thermally sensitive goods.
