CCTT took part in the transport and logistics forum "Cargo Panorama", which was held on September 24, in Moscow. The forum was organized by the editorial office of the Russian Railways-Partner magazine and was held in a hybrid format: one part of the speakers and participants were presented in the hall, and the other part joined the event remotely online. The forum was attended by representatives of transport and logistics companies, shippers and consignees, operators and freight forwarders, land and sea terminals for cargo transshipment, rolling stock manufacturers and leasing companies, regulatory agencies, non-profit associations, industry experts and international organizations.
During the plenary discussion, the forum participants discussed the current state of the freight transport market, namely, the impact of the pandemic on the transport industry in 2020, the need for tariff measures to stimulate shippers and attract cargo traffic to the Russian Railways network, the profitability of the operator business, the need for infrastructure development, and traffic along the Eastern Polygon.
Two expert dialogues were also held within the framework of the forum. One of them was devoted to the cargo palette of the cargo transportation market (features of transportation of the main types of cargo and hot questions about the availability of infrastructure, speed and timing of cargo delivery, etc.), and the second – innovations in logistics (prospects for containerization of cargo flows, sufficiency of infrastructure for container transportation, development of regional container hubs, etc.).
In expert dialogue "Innovation in logistics" took part CCTT Deputy Secretary General Natalia Stepanova with presentation "Creating conditions for the growth of transit container cargo". In her speech, she noted the measures taken in the development of transportation services in the Asia-Europe, the creation of new routes and container services, as well as the introduction of modern digital online services for the transportation of goods on the electronic trading platform ETP GP.
