Goals and objectives

The major goals of International Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation (CCTT) are:

  • attraction of transit and foreign trade cargo on Trans-Eurasian routes passing through the territory of Russia, including on the ITC East-West, North-South;
  • coordination of activities of participants in the carriage of goods by land and sea sections of Trans-Eurasian routes and international traffic to ensure quality of delivery and development of economic relations between countries of Pacific region, Central Asia, CIS, Baltic States and Europe using the infrastructure of Russian Railways.

The major objectives of the CCTT are:

  • improving the efficiency and competitiveness of rail and multimodal cargo transportation in all transit and export-import directions between the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, Central Asia, the CIS, the Baltic States, and Europe using the infrastructure of Railways and seaports that are members of CCTT;
  • coordination of interaction between Railways and seaports to create competitive conditions for the development of multimodal transport;
  • preparation of proposals and development of measures to increase the volume of cargo transportation on the ITC East – West and North – South based on the analysis of the transport market situation, including by reducing transit time, improving technological processes, ensuring the safety of goods and simplifying customs procedures;
  • preparation of proposals to eliminate factors that hinder the attraction of transit and foreign trade cargo on Trans-Eurasian routes;
  • formation and implementation of transport and logistics products and promotion of container line services on the international transport market;
  • organization of work on the development and implementation of digital, innovative IT technologies, automated systems, electronic legally significant document management;
  • formation of a single integrated digital space for Trans-Eurasian transportation;
  • assistance to improve the mechanisms of control of rolling stock;
  • promoting the development of heavy traffic on the TSR;
  • participation in the development of legal documents regulating cargo transportation on Trans-Eurasian routes;
  • promotion of competence development in the field of transport;
  • popularization of the Trans-Siberian service and strengthening business relations with cargo owners;
  • analysis of the transport market situation and formation of the cargo base for Trans-Eurasian rail and intermodal transportation;
  • participation in the activities of other public and international transport organizations.
