International online forum on container transportation PRO//Motion.Eurasia

On September 17, 2020, the International Online Forum on container transportation PRO//Motion.Eurasia was held via videoconference with the support of the CCTT and GETO It was organized by JSC Publishing House "Gudok". The general partners of the forum were JSC UTLC ERA and JSC RZD.

The online forum was attended by the Deputy General Director of Russian Railways - Head of the Centre for firm transportation service (CFTO) Alexey Shilo, Director General, Chairman of the Board of JSC UTLC ERA Alexey Grom, CEO YuXinOu (Chongqing) Logistics Qi Dan, Senior Vice President of business development in Eurasia DB Cargo AG, Managing Director of DB Cargo Eurasia GmbH Uwe Leusner, Board Member of Rail Cargo Group Thomas Kargl, Deputy Director of the commercial Bureau of international and intermodal transport PKP Cargo Halina Bajczuk, Development Director in Russia, CIS and the Middle East Hupac Intermodal Ltd. Alberto Grisone. In the course of their reports and presentations, the forum participants highlighted the main criteria for international rail container transport on the China-Europe-China route.

The heads of railway companies, international industry organizations, transport and logistics companies and cargo owners from the CIS, Europe and China discussed initiatives to increase Trans-Eurasian container transportation: changes in the cost of container transit, subsidizing cargo transportation, improving the efficiency of border crossings, pilot projects of new routes, as well as issues of infrastructure development and digitalization in transport. During the discussion of the problems of the transport industry, the participants and guests of the forum received up – to – date information from experts on the experience of implementing international transport in the China-Europe-China route.
