On March 15, 2021 is the 19th anniversary of the international project “Mongolian Vector”
The container train within the framework of the international project “Mongolian Vector” began to shuttle since March 2002 on the route Brest (Belarus) – Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia), the length of which is 7293 km. The founders of the project are the Mongolian transport and forwarding company “Tuushin”, the Moscow transport and forwarding company “Rubicon” and the Brest branch of the enterprise “Belintertrans”. The project is a complete transport product that offers the customer special tariffs and optimal delivery times for goods from Europe to Mongolia.
In accordance with the decisions taken within the framework of the CCTT, a trilateral agreement was signed, which provided a convenient schedule for the movement of a container train through the infrastructure of Russian railways. The delivery time of goods from Brest to Ulaanbaatar is 10-12 days, which is almost 3 times faster than the delivery of goods by sea (30-40 days).
Starting from March 1, 2005, the route of the container train “Mongolian Vector” was extended to China on the route Hohhot (China) - Erlian-Naushki-Brest-Duisburg (9821 km) transit through Mongolia. Over the 19 years of its existence, the Mongolian Vector project has proved its competitiveness, showed the prospects for the development of the Euro-Asian Northern Corridor and the possibility of reducing the delivery time of goods from Europe to Mongolia.
The CCTT Secretariat sincerely congratulates the founders and all participants of the “Mongolian Vector” project on their 19th anniversary, and wishes them prosperity and even greater success in the implementation of future transport projects.
