"Climate Agenda: Challenges, Opportunities, Integration," the "Low Carbon Future of Eurasian Transport Corridors" round table

November 13, 2024 in Baku, Azerbaijan, within the framework of the thematic day of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) "Climate Agenda: Challenges, Opportunities, Integration," the "Low Carbon Future of Eurasian Transport Corridors" round table will be held.

The event is co-organised by Russian Railways OJSC and the International Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation (CCTT).

During the Round Table, the CCTT Declaration on "Development of Low-Carbon Eurasian Transport Routes" will be presented, the draft of which has been prepared within the framework of the CCTT "Green Agenda" Working Group.

The participants of the event will share best practices for realising the potential of the transport industry in the field of climate change mitigation, as well as discuss the harmonisation of approaches to measuring greenhouse gas emissions and absorption, providing for the availability of carbon-neutral technologies, etc.
